Customize how Brie captures and stores data.

Accessing settings

  1. Click the Brie icon in your toolbar.
  2. Click the gear icon to open settings.

Available settings

Domain skip list

The main configurable setting in the extension. By default, Brie redacts sensitive data (tokens, passwords, API keys) from all captured network requests. The domain skip list lets you add domains where redaction is skipped — useful for localhost, staging, or internal environments where you want to see full request data.

  1. Open extension settings.
  2. Add domains to the skip list (e.g., localhost, staging.myapp.com).

Popup controls

These controls are in the main popup (not the settings panel):

Microphone

  • Toggle microphone on or off for video recordings.

Session replay (Rewind)

  • Toggle Rewind on or off in the Replay section of the popup.
  • Disable recording on specific domains by adding them to the per-host denylist.
